Boxing January 25th

Saturday January 25th 2014 was a fight fans dream: boxing on Showtime and HBO, along with UFC on Fox. All I can say is can you guys coordinate this better so I don't have to do so much flipping back and forth on the television?!  Showtime and HBO please end the cold war last night I found myself flipping between Jennings vs Szpilka and Rosado vs Charlo. 40 minutes later I found myself flipping back and forth between Peterson vs Jean and Garcia vs Burgos. I understand there is a cold war but true boxing fans are not going to pick one network over the other we honestly just want to see good fights.  Action pics are below don't forget to check out Foxsports 1 this Thursday as Victor Ortiz makes his return to the ring.  Peace as always I Love Boxing!

An Exciting Weekend for Boxing

January 24th and 25th were great days for boxing. The weekend started off with friday night fights on ESPN. Thomas Williams Jr. knocked down Cornelius White almost instantly, however White would recuperate and send Williams to the canvas with a nice shot. Once Williams Jr got back up he went after White again and knocked him out, ending the fight in the first round. Later on in the evening,  NBC sports net hosted some fights. Curtis Stevens recorded a 1st round knockout of Patrick Majewski making a strong comeback after the loss to Genady Golovkin. Earlier Thabiso Mchunu defeated Olanrewaju Durodola by unanimous decision in an exciting cruiserweight bout also on NBC sports net.   On Foxsports 1 Antonio Orozco recorded a second round knockout over Miguel Huerta, however in the first round Huerta had Orozco hurt.  Please check out pics below.
